Q: I am a condominium unit owner. Where can I find a copy of the Florida rules governing condominiums?

A: There are two sets of rules that govern condominiums. The first and most comprehensive is the Florida Statutes, Chapter 718. The second is the Florida Administrative Code which interprets and makes specific certain provisions of Florida Statutes, Chapter 718.Both can be found online at http://www.myfloridalicense.com/dbpr/lsc/statutes.html. This is the website for the Division of Condominiums, Timeshares and Mobile Homes, a division of the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) that regulates condominiums. It is commonly called the “division.” The division's website also contains a host of resources for unit owners including sample forms.
